About OptiResume

Most ATS resume checkers charge a subscription and still give generic advice like “add more keywords.” Students and early-career candidates deserve better: honest, specific feedback that holds up wherever you're applying. And because OptiResume grew up alongside India's placement season, it goes deeper there than any other tool, Naukri and Internshala job listings, tier-2 college realities, and the fact that many freshers don't have three years of experience to quantify.

OptiResume was built to close that gap. The ATS scoring engine uses 27 deterministic rules built on published evidence about how parsers and recruiters actually behave, with an India module layered on top for campus drives and job portals. AI rewrites are gated behind email verification and delivered through a carefully rate-limited Gemini integration, so the product stays free without getting abused.

1. Upload your resume. We parse it in memory (PDF or DOCX), extract the text, and immediately discard the original bytes. Your resume text is stored on your account, the raw file never is.
2. 27 rules score your resume. Section presence, action verbs, quantification, formatting, GPA, date ranges, and more, all computed locally in under a second. No AI call needed.
3. Keyword diff against the JD. Paste a job description or import one from Naukri or Internshala. We surface the skills you're missing and the ones you already cover.
4. AI rewrites and suggestions (optional). Google Gemini rewrites weak bullets using the STAR pattern, calibrated to your college tier and target role. PII is redacted before anything reaches the model.
